I was just thinking today that sometimes I hate the way Google Maps forces you to load a map of the whole country before you go to an actual place. With an over exhausted laptop in front of me running 30 programs and 20 tabs on Chrome, it takes about 30 seconds to load that first map. That’s why I thought for once: let’s try searching in another way, so I typed in this:
http://local.google.nl/Amsterdam/
Unfortunately it didn’t take me to the map of Amsterdam. Instead it just gives an error message telling me that it hadn’t found Amsterdam.
I hope one day Google will implement something like this for people who abuse their computers too much 🙂
